Love in the city (part 1)

SCENARIO 1 - to complicate or not to complicate?
A is lady fren who i've developed a rather close frenship recently. she's been telling me about this ex-bf of 11 yrs of her. breaking up was her rash decision in response to something he had done to make her angry. now things seem like they might b getting back together. she's in her late 20s this yr, and was with this ex who's 11 yrs her senior for 11 yrs (hmmm can go buy 4D, 1111 wahahhaha erm no, i dun buy 4D)...

MY TAKE:
wat really strikes me is that look on her face when she tells me about this ex of hers. her expression lights up like a teenager talking about her prince charming in shining armor. on one hand, i kinda frown upon this "shallow" infatuation-like adoration she holds for him - kinda childish rite? on the other hand, shd i say it's child-like? it is probably this kinda passion that keeps a long-term r/s burning. simple n pure love/admiration u have for ur partner. we've been taught to choose our partners wisely, and view our r/s rationally, havent we? or have we made relationships more complicated than it shd b?
